Aim: Translating scratchpads into different languages
The Scratchpads team is undertaking a new project to facilitate the translation of scratchpads environment to different languages. As many of the strings included in scratchpads are biodiversity related and taxonomic terms we believe that our large community of researchers around the world could help us crowd-source this project. To facilitate the translations we use the Google translate toolkit.
Currently we selected the following languages
However this list will eventually get longer. If you have another suggestion for a new language you wish to contribute for the translation please let us know.
If you are a current Scratchpads user and native speaker of any of the above languages you can certainly help us in this project. In fact we are relying in your contribution.
Let us know for your intention to contribute to a translation by sending us an email titled "Translation contribution" to email@example.com. Include your Gmail account and the language you wish to contribute to in the email. If you do not have a Google account please create one first.
Some strings include tags (like html tags) that need not to be translated. If you come across one please copy it as is to the translation column. Do not translate (just copy across):
